　　【报告人简介】

　　AntonioJ. Plaza received the Computer Engineer degree in 1997, the M.Sc. degree in1999, and the Ph.D. degree in 2002, all in Computer Engineering. Dr. Plaza iscurrently an Associate Professor (with accreditation for Full Professor) withthe Department of Technology of Computers and Communications, University ofExtremadura, Spain, where he is the Head of the Hyperspectral ComputingLaboratory (HyperComp). He has authored or co-authored more than 500publications, including 204 journal citation report (JCR) papers (149 in IEEEjournals), 23 book chapters, and 287 peer-reviewed international conferencepapers (around 150 in IEEE conference proceedings and 70 in SPIE conferenceproceedings). He is a highly cited author with more than 13000 citationsreceived to his published works. He has been recognized as one of the top citedauthors in Spain and in the University of Extremadura. His main researchinterests comprise remotely sensed hyperspectral image analysis, signalprocessing, and efficient implementations of large-scale scientific problems onhigh performance computing architectures, including commodity Beowulf clusters,heterogeneous networks of computers and clouds, and specialized computerarchitectures such as field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) or graphicalprocessing units (GPUs).
